Comments: Night descent. Nice canyon with a bunch of rappels in quick succession. The hike up is pretty mellow, on a fire road and there are great views of the valley. At R6- R7 it's a bit brushy but we cleared it out a little. The big rap was nice. We used releasable on some of the last raps. Someone could put webbing anchors if desired.

Comment: This canyon had many challenges for me. The start, for one, was not clear. I dropped in down a dry stream bed behind the "drop in" indicated. The drop in didnt add up to me so I started on my bushwacking adventure. There are several down climbs before you start Rap 1. Rap 1 was at 34.33665, -118.42908. The webbing looked good to go minus the color starting to fade. Once you start on the falls, it's straight forward. At Rap 4, you get to experience the 160ft rappel which was dry but still fun. As you descend the canyon, you start to experience the overgrowth. There is poison oak everywhere. I used a macrame knot on two of the lower rappels as there were no established anchors or webbing. Once I finally got to canyon bottom, it became a bushwacking adventure again until reaching the debris basin. Great weather on a SoCal winter day.

Comment: All drops had existing anchors other than R7 which I had to bypass as it was too overgrown. The area around R8 and the first part of the exit is extremely overgrown as well, although higher up in the canyon is okay.

Comment: There is very little sign that the canyon has been run recently. The canyon has several sections of overgrowth and poison oak. The descent shown in the KML is very crumbly and loose. Anchors are not at the rappels or have been washed away?? Only 2 locations had webbing that we did not use. We implemented a release-able anchors strategy in case the intent of the canyon is to leave no trace.
