Comments: Misty day. Approach up the Gold Creek Road and Yerba Buena Trail then along the unmaintained ridge trail to the summit took 2:50. After dropping in, I did some downclimbs over long low-angle slopes before the meat of the technical section began. Rappels were generally interesting with easy anchors over clean terrain. As I got lower, the plant coverage increased and pools of water became more frequent and then flowing water started. There was some wading but not above thigh level. The bushwhacking became more onerous the closer I got to Trail Canyon but it was never truly heinous. At Trail Canyon I took the easy trail past the waterfall and back to the car. McKinley was worth a look but for me doesn't have enough of interest to motivate a repeat visit relative to the level of bushwhacking required.
