Comments: An enjoyable canyon, even in the summer! The limestone slot is reminiscent to a Death Valley canyon with some fairly scenic polished narrows. We joined some friends and their kids for an easygoing day in Mezzo canyon. We took our time (and lots of breaks) hiking and descending, so take the trip time with a grain of salt - an experienced, efficient group could likely move twice as fast. Anchors are in good condition as of our descent. There is a mix of natural anchors and bolts (caution: one anchor is a single bolt with a closed hook instead of a hanger).

Comment: Under-rated canyon! The long rappel is more fun than any of the rappels in Little or Big Falls-- you have wall walk, overhang, and positive pitch steep slide! We didn't use the ropewiki gpx but just did a lollipop, scramble up on southeast side from trail canyon rather than did the traverse from little falls. All our feet got wet, some have wetter pants than others. I had purposely slide in the watercourse so my entire pants got wet, it was good time.
