Comments: I hiked up to the summit of Baden-Powell and then back along the ridge to the drop-in. The upper reaches of the canyon had a lot of loose rock and it was fun to slide down the scree. Shortly, the first technical section began with numerous closely-spaced waterfalls. I built a lot of cairns and for some of the shorter rappels I put the rope directly around a boulder. After another portion of scree I reached the second technical section which had more water flow and a bit more open feeling. There were plenty of fun downclimbs and a few slides, the most memorable of which was a long one right after the last rappel. Then the gulch opened up into a broad wash and it was easy going to the exit gully. The gully had little brush and was generally easy going although there were a few walls to carefully climb or skirt around. Near the mine the gully separated into numerous branches and after going a bit too far to the left I traversed over to the mine. Then it was an easy walk back to Vincent Gap. I can't say enough good things about this canyon, from the multitude of rappels to the spectacular views to the lack of brush. In my opinion it's far and away the best in the East Fork region.
