Comments: Fun morning exploring this little canyon with a beautiful view out to the Deschutes. It's so close to Maupin and seems to get some traffic based on what we found. You can approach easily by going left down the road until you pass the cattle guard then heard up and left. Go under the first rock outcrop then above all others. A trail is forming across the slope.

The anchor at R1 is now a 2 inline bolt anchor. You can stay on rappel to get to the anchor for R2 but skipping that anchor and going straight down keeps you in the water course. This gives you some splashy fun in the winter and a cleaner line to avoid rock fall. All anchors were in good shape, though we did change the configuration of the quick links on R1 to make the pull easier. Beware of rockfall on R4. Everyone should be back almost to the road as we both kicked down a few rocks.

I listed the flow as very low since it was little more than a trickle but for this canyon I think it was "ripping"!
