Comment: The road in was very muddy on the way in. 4x4 did fine, although I blew a shock on my way out. Flow was very high. The traverse bolt and bolted anchor station made for fun rigging and an easy pull. We opted to rap out of the flow and were happy with our decision. Stood at the falls on the bottom in the flow and could barely hold stance for longer than 3 seconds. Added a single loop anchor on a pinch rdc for the downclimb, it was short but flow was high and rock was slick. One of the best in the area with good flow, but can be challenging to access. We hiked up the watercourse and the scree gully.

Comment: We spent some time (approximately 1 hour) on route maintenance.

All anchors looked great. Pull on the last rappel was very smoothe. Great 4 to 5 hour route with flow. The road in is muddy but a 4x4 shouldn't have any issues.

Comment: Flow was perfect. Cold water, but comfortable in a 5mm wetsuit, rain jacket, 3mm neoprene socks, and some layers. Partner wore a 7mm and was warm. Some ice forming throughout the canyon, particularly at the base of the final rappel. Replaced all anchors.

Took the creek/rock gully approach (Approach 2). Highly recommend - about 1.5h from parking to the start of the canyon, 1.5h in canyon. Was on track to finish route in under 5 hours, but stuck our rope on the final rap. Had rigged high off a tree, and was very purposeful managing ropes, but webbing was not extended far enough around corners and the friction was considerable. Took hours to free our ropes after attempting multiple strategies and finally having success with a 3:1 MA system rigged off a tree high RDC. Recommend extending webbing beyond the first major corner, though this may make it challenging to safely get on rappel in high flow conditions. Hiked out along the creek in the dark by headlamp.

Despite these challenges, it was a very fun and beautiful canyon.

Forest road was wet but manageable with high clearance and 4x4.

Comment: Water cold, 5mm wetsuit and rain jacket good. First rap stomach deep pool. Second rap swimmer. Slide swimmer. Third and four rap thigh deep. Extended webbing well past corner. Got rappel side stuck in crack LDC was able to get it out climbing up ledges RDC and flaking rope out. Last rappel loves rope.

Comment: Water cold, wore 5mm wetsuit and rain jacket. Glad to have it. Replaced webbing on 3rd anchor with new webbing. Rope got stuck on 4th, last rap, due to webbing not being extended around rock corner and not keeping lines separated. Probably could have done canyon in 5 hours, if rope did not get stuck.
