Comments: We got Backcountry Weekend permits, and so did the approach from Brem horse camp, which was very reasonable. After a fairly dry spring the water was a trickle, but still enough to keep the potholes filled. Swimming was pleasant for a hot spring day.

Comment: Backcountry weekend this year was a cold, drizzly day! Comfy in a 4/3 with air temps in the 50s. Webbing degraded on R3 and replaced with a hopefully more permanent anchor. R2 definitely out of the flow, but looks like it may be difficult to access in very high flow. Nice, easy day. Hiking the peaks nearby was nice in the colder temps, but not exactly swimming hole weather.

Comment: Another wonderful backcountry weekend in Pacheco Falls! Time includes an entry from Kaiser Aetna road past Dowdy Ranch and two runs of the technical section by our whole group (a final third descent by a portion of our group is not recorded). Water was actually flowing and pools were much less grimy compared to the same weekend last year, making it really not a bad canyon! We replaced damaged bolts in positions higher above the watercourse.

Comment: After a rainy winter, the bolt at R1 was mostly pulled out and R2 was missing its hanger. We ran out of daylight and had to bail, and so didn't get to check out R3. We recommend the next group sets new bolts higher above the flow.
