Comments: Completely dry canyon. Rappel 3 has pool at bottom, but is easily avoidable rappelling from tree RDC. Approach has some minor brush. No rope pull issues on any rappels. All anchors in good condition. Exit is up side of ridge, not more than Class 2+, but is pretty bushy with cat claw. You are welcome, Arizona!

Comment: Temperature swing was 22 to 53 Fahrenheit, lots of water in the canyon all easily avoided... 90% Frozen but melting
Rap 1 slung on very dead tree, was solid for now but don't know for how long it will hold up, if that tree is no longer an anchor, next potential anchor will eat up A LOT of webbing(probably 30-50') Added webbing to raps 1&3 Rap 3 was solid anchor, we just didn't like the 3 water knots and webbing age used to make a sling so we added and equalized both. Rap 4 is a meat anchor with assist or nuisance rapel Rap 5 was downclimbed with no webbing found This canyon is CHOKED WITH DEAD FALL trees and various brush, your doing hurdles for 2 miles The climb out was 1500 vertical feet, staying with the red line leads you into some class 4 climbing but mostly the entire hill climb is fighting the CONSTANT never ending holly bushes and cat claw leaving you contemplating your life choices when you reach the waist deep pockets of manzanita as a reprieve, when finally reaching the top you have 2.5 miles of relatively flat land back to the car with ankle sized prickly pear and rocks threatening your skin and rolled ankles hidden in the calf deep dead vegetation that likes to sneak into your shoes... Overall the canyon itself is nice rated 2.5/5, the hike out is a 10/10 will never do again

Comment: Our late start left us exiting in the dark (planned for). We were fortunate to find some of the elk trails in the dark which saved some thrashing with headlamps.
After the third rappel the canyon becomes less interesting and the exit removes any other remaining charm. With the fall colors in the area it would be an option but I would leave ropes set and just ascend back up after rappel three and exit the approach.

Comment: Water was flowing through the canyon, lots of pretty waterfalls but not hard to stay dry with alternate rappel directions or anchors. Gorgeous technical section, too bad about that exit hike (I would say there was a bad amount of brush).
