Comments: After a luxurious gentleman's start we ran efficiently and caught up to two groups of two, passing both near the end of the canyon. Full cold pools, but we moved quickly and didn't get cold (says me in a farmer john only).

A coreshot opened up on rope on the final rap, causing one rappeller to slide 6 feet before the sheath bunched up. A surprise we didn't need, but everyone stayed calm and we removed that segment from the rope and carried on.

We aimed high and left for an "faster" trail out, which we regretted. After rocking the descent (<2h from cars to off ropes), we suffered on the exit hike. I will take the creek next time.

Comment: Fun times with hot temperatures at the trailhead, followed by dark, cold pools once inside the technical canyon. Wore 4:3+ with waterproof neoprene socks and gloves, and was warm. Others with a 4:3 without neoprene socks and gloves were a bit cold. The beginning of the technical canyon still had pools, requiring brief periods of swimming. The end of the technical canyon, not including the last rappel, was dry. We were able to stand above the water as soon as we rappelled to the bottom of the Great Cathedral. Overall, a great day. In my experience, the best condition is immediately after a flash flood, when the canyon is completely full.

Comment: Absolutely top notch canyon with maximum bang for your buck!

Very full conditions, lots of water exposure and dimly lit late in the day made for chilly conditions.we started at 5pm which made for some cool lighting! I was okay in my 4/3 but my 5/4 would have been more comfortable. Lots of deep wades and some swims. Alot more sand filling things in than in years past.

On exit we found the sandy social trail high on the left. Might be quicker but in hindsight it is a bit more enjoyable to just follow the creek.

Comment: Great day in Pine Creek, we did a leisurely run and took our time in the canyon and on the exit. We saw several other groups but didn't bunch up with any of them in the canyon. Got to admire birds, a snake, and various plants along the way. The first obvious trail out of the streambed and towards the cars starts at just the right elevation, so there's almost no uphill if you exit there.

Comment: Amazing day in Pine Creek. Started late in the day (3 pm) and moved pretty smoothly outside of having to upclimb one of the rappels as someone left a backpack

Water level is still pretty low despite recent rains. Wetsuits still very much needed and the water is very cold

Comment: Fun day down pine Creek. Water is cold, canyon is full. anchors are all in good shape.

Some tat for smaller obstacles might need to be replaced soon. We jumped two obstacles which was really awesome. We saw two other parties, two Aussies and a group of 4 from Zion outfitters. The walk out was long but not bad.

Comment: Some of our group did it without wet-suits, they were shivering cold but claimed to be fine.

Mike: If a 2mm wetsuit is available that’ll make the canyon enjoyable. Late start to canyon for shuttle setup and drive to Zion. Needed to factor about an hour due to tunnel traffic and parking situation at top. Nuisance rappel in beginning led to chest deep water; cathedral portion had a surprising amount of water at the bottom. Typical depth (no long swims) in narrow section, with standard 30’ swim at 3rd to last rappel. Took hike trail dcl to bypass field, which I believe might be a climbing route entrance and exit.

Comment: Great day with 3 people being their first canyon! We enjoyed the canyon and taking our time. There were a few very short mandatory swims, most folks wore full wetsuits but I got away with a shorty and was happy. Any beta you try to follow is tricky because anything that could possibly be a tricky down climb is rigged with extra bolts/webbing, adding a lot of extra rappels.

The hardest part of the day for us was finding parking at the visitor center to pick up the permit (definitely recommend going with more than one person so someone can run inside to get the permit while the other one can circle in the parking lot). We also had a tough time getting through the tunnel to set the car shuttle (expect traffic if your group is too large to set the shuttle on the way).

Comment: Awesome day in Pine Creek, as usual. We did an evening Keyhole + Pine Creek as a warm up and gear test for Heaps the next day. It was late enough that we didn't get the magical lighting but instead the dark and moody narrows. A few swims up to 20 feet (in the usual spots).

Someone has left a fixed line with butterfly knots on the nuisance rappel before the big one. The next party should remove this line. It is not great for downclimbing, you can't rappel on it, and it is already showing a good amount of wear.

Comment: A morning run through Pine Creek. First time that I haven't seen anyone else in the canyon. Had it completely to ourselves. Canyon is completely dry until the grotto at the bottom of the last drop which is holding some water. Anchors all in good condition.

Comment: Incredibly gorgeous canyon. We took our time and enjoyed it. Hardly any water. One waist deep pool felt nice without wetsuits. The long hallway that is usually a swim is completely dry.

Comment: Water was very low with calf deep water in a small corner of the cathedral. I would echo the previous report that some of the webbing is starting to reach EOL. 4 groups bottle-necked ahead of us at the last rap. The boulder hopping takes a bit of time but there were 3-4 places to get a swim in and cool off on the way back to the car.

Comment: Amazing canyon. Stunning and just beautiful. Anchors were all in good shape. Pools were deep and cold. Loved every minute of it.
