Comments: Pine Creek was beautiful! Some water, one short swimmer. Water was frigid even with multiple 80+degree days. Our breath was fogging at the bottom of the chamber when it was 70 outside! Wore a 4/3mm wetsuit and was very slightly chilly waiting for our group to rappel in the chamber. After was perfect temps the rest of the way. Fantastic canyon!

Comment: So low. There’s only water to your chest exiting the cathedral. I would not recommend wetsuits with current conditions. We rebuilt the cairn anchor just before the final rappel. It has a courtesy anchor so all but the last person can have an easier start.

Comment: Great trip! We dropped in at 3:30PM and still ran into two other groups. There was one swim and a few chest deep wades. One of us wore a 4/3 and the other wore a 3/2. We moved fast and were never cold at all. If I were to go back I would take a 3/2 or a shortie. Anchors were solid. Didn't really notice the false floor despite looking at it.

Comment: Pools we decent and some were full. Anchor 4 webbing should be replaced. Rappel 6 has a deadman but it wasn't very secure. We chose to meat anchor and capture the team.

Comment: Super-low water level. Standing disconnect in the Cathedral. No swimmers until the very end. Not much water in the long corridor. Pretty cold water. We were fine in relatively thin wetsuits; some were farmer johns. But we also moved very quickly. 5 of us split off after the last rappel and did the whole thing car to car in 3 hours. 5 others took our time on the last rap and exit and did it in 4 hours.

Comment: Descended pine creek to final rap in 1.5 hours.Cathedral still typical swimmer with cold water. Group ranged 3/2 -7mm suits. Emergency at final rap required SAR request. Our group of 7 did not have the emergency but assisted the group ahead of us.

Comment: Great time in Pine Creek. Surprisingly full of water given lack of rainfall over late weeks preceding our trip - encountered some full swimmers. Happy to have had a 5 mil wetsuit. All raps in good order; last rap easy to reach and fresh webbing. Beautiful throughout!

Comment: Great time at Pine Creek today. A few swimmers scattered throughout. Should have opted some better thermals. Final rappel on the right side is in good shape. Didn't see any holes within the faux floor.

Comment: The canyon flashed BIG on 08/26 and was subsequently closed for a few days. Ran it the first day the park opened it back up and boy was it FULL of water. Expect lots and lots of swimmer sections. Ended up finding 4 ropes total in the canyon some of them in pretty good condition and some of them were pretty chewed up. The flash must have brought the ropes out from hiding into visible areas just past R3 and R4. It certainly was a big ball of dirty spaghetti to untangle. Packed out 3 of the 4 found ropes and had another group help me pack out the other remaining rope. Doing the boulder hops with 5 wet ropes which include the 2 I brought in was certainly not fun and probably took me 3 hours just to exit the boulder field because of it (hence my special challenges). In total, with all the surprise finds in the canyon it took about 7 hours. 3/2 wetsuits will still keep you plenty comfortable at this time since the rain water is pretty warm. Replaced R2 around the log jam with a new piece of webbing that was wiped out.

Comment: Fun! A delightful romp with a team including several sore folks post heaps and a teammate newer to canyons. Some of the water in canyon is still a bit cold, 4/3 wetsuit (full of holes) was pleasant. We splashed around in some nice pools on the way out. Time waa 2 hours 45 min from start to bottom shuttle vehicle.

Comment: A leisurely day through Pine, taking a friend that had never been. It is such a gorgeous canyon, always a worthwhile trip. We got sandwiched between groups, went slow. No neoprene was needed, water is always a tad cold, but very bearable. A few wades, but there is only 1 brief swim. Neoprene booties with splash jacket was perfect. Would have been hot with a wetsuit. We continued down Pine Creek taking the typical exit this time, rock hopping and stopping to swim in pools. Very nice way to spend a summer day.

Comment: Beautiful evening run! We started at 5pm and took my Dad for his 2nd ever canyon! He loved it! The lighting was super cool this time of day! 4/3 wetsuits super comfy, only 1 swim. We took the climber trail express out up to the 3rd switch back pull off parking, (2nd one down), very easy and saves time. Heads out of drainage shortly after last rap on left and stays along the bottom of the wall on left side of drainage.
