Comment: Time includes descent from bright angel trail to pipe creek, then descent of garden creek and out the bright angel. Pleasantly surprised by rappels in pipe creek, beautiful mossy caves.

Comment: Time reflects a descent of East Pipe and Garden Creek. 2.5h approach to Pipe Creek via S. Kaibab starting at Pipe Creek Vista (0.75mi from TH). Flow was low and pools at middle and base of R1 were knee depth at most. Wore neoprene socks but no wetsuit. R1 webbing is new and extended to lip for a <100’ rappel and smooth pull. Small cave along R2 is still pristine - tread carefully. Midway through canyon I became warm and removed my windbreaker.

Comment: 9.5 hours car to car from Bright Angel trailhead. We used Bright Angel trail for both ingress and egress so we wouldn't have to fuss around with shuttle bus rides - this looks like it may add .5 - 1 miles to the trip. Pipe Creek was flowing very lightly, no deep wades or swims. Replaced/repaired a few anchors, all in good shape now.
