Comment: With the big snowpack this year, a lot of other creeks are still running high. The Columbia Gorge, however, often melts out early, so water levels on Prindle are already on their way down. A fun set of rapid-fire rappels with a fun group. Re-rigged the R3 station as a Y-anchor to distribute the load between the bolts. Conditions of the bolts seems about the same as last year. Beware rockfall on R3.

Comment: Another fun day on Prindle. Anchors are in good shape, but keep an eye on the bolts on R4. Noted some hairline cracks radiating from the backup bolt which I don't remember from last year. Main bolt is solid, however. (We didn't think of it until later, but it might be worth converting this anchor to a standard Y-hang configuration in order to distribute the load between the bolts. Even a third bolt placement might not be the worst idea as the rock quality atop this pitch is pretty poor. The original team who placed them did the best they could with the rock they had to work with.) The falls is a joy to rappel as ever. We're contemplating adding some bolts next time. It's quite a fun outing once the entrance and exit are dialed.

Comment: Great flow & fun day out. Cairn anchor atop R2 had some problems, so we rebuilt it. Heights of various falls were off; beta has been adjusted. Hats off to the team who put in the bolt station on R4. That falls is now a joy to rappel. Surprised to run into a group of waterfall photographers at the bottom.

Comment: Prindle is always fun. Used the pipeline cut after avoiding the private property to get up to a version of the Russ Jolley trail. 1st drop has two newly knocked over old growth trees. Built a deadman’s for R2 to keep in the watercourse.
Guessing old anchor was the the large tree that is now knocked over. Tossed a bolt station at R4 which makes it dreamy. Yeah, the approach is annoying but the canyon is a special one. | |||||||

Comment: First complete descent. Discovered a 30ft falls above the main drop. Great waterfall sequence, but a bear to get to, no matter what route you enter by.
