Comments: A reasonable day in ROC. We did Spooky, The Beast, and ROC in a day. Time is for all 3. It was a group that was somewhat new to desert canyons so going was quite slow. We skipped the lower ~100 ft of ROC as one of our party fell ~8 ft from ~30 ft off the deck to ~20 ft and sprained an ankle.

The canyon is quite challenging if you try to stay low. You will often progress ~50 ft down the canyon just to find that you have to backtrack all of that in order to climb up and make progress.

We found the movement in ROC to be harder than The Beast. Part of this may have been that we were more tired after a long day.

Bring lots of water obviously. We brought ~2 liters and our party wanted more for sure.
