Comment: We did this late afternoon, ended right at sunset. Pretty hike, fun, easy canyon. No stemming.

Comment: A fun, scenic and short canyon, although the approach is a bit on the long side. All the anchors were in good condition, though the first rap is beginning to collect extra webbing.

Canyon conditions were good. The new glue in anchors were solid, the stainless bolted in anchors are failing though. Bolt in anchors really don't do well in sandstone, I wish people wouldn't use them despite their good intentions. This was a fun little canyon. Approach/exit to canyon ratio is a little heavier than ideal though.

Comment: 3rd time running red canyon, great canyon to intro people to area and its diversity. Went slow and enjoyed sun after snow yesterday. canyon is very straightforward with easy raps.

Comment: Hit sunglow after bailing on other options due to weather. For the area it's a little dull I think and very hot on the approach mid summer.

Comment: I've had this on my bucket list forever. The climb up is really scenic, couple of exposed sections here and there but not too serious. The first rap webbing around two large stones is in good shape. We replaced the second rap webbing, rebuilt it for easy pull and to prevent rope grooves. This could be downclimbed by skilled canyoneers. The last three raps are bolted and in good shape. One could use a 200 foot rope at rap 4 and bypass the rusty chain anchor at rap 5. But, the pull may be more difficult. The rusty chain anchor at rap 5 above the pothole is in good shape.
