Comments: Combined this with Diana's Throne. Cold water, some ice, and quicksand in northern slot made this extra interesting.

Comment: Did this with Mum. The approach was complicated by some "no trespassing" signs we didn't know about. Hiked in a different way. Reversed the South fork. V. nice narrows at the bottom of the canyon before we reached the dryfall. We bypassed the two pitches and dropped in up higher. Meat anchor + partner assist used (alternate rap anchor was present). Some nice narrow followed, but nothing with as much 'wow!' as the bottom. Route finding over to the Nth fork, there were lots of pools that had iced over requiring some tricky stemming/bridging. The canyon starts at the junction. We dropped in via a 10m rap. This is were things got interesting. We removed clothing, traversing a thigh deep pool, bridged a number of others. Waded another... then we had unexpected neck deep pools - it was hard to break through h the thick ice. A swim. Mum was getting a bit hypothermic. We pushed through rappelling once where the name carvings are to avoid more pools. Cold walk out. We'd read that there were "some shallow pools that could be avoided" this didn't seem to be the case! A memorable adventure ;)
