Comments: Added a kml map to the beta after this descent. We descended the Main Fork from the Old Kiln TH and exited at the Andy's Loop TH along Little Park Rd. However, we would also recommend the Old Kiln TH -> East Fork -> Andy's TH shuttle (or Devil's Kitchen shuttle with Echo Canyon) next time. We did not add Echo Canyon and the longer shuttle. However, if the team has not done Echo, it's a worthwhile big amphitheater dryfall to take the team through and add to the day.
The Ribbon Main Fork rappel (last rappel in the canyon before non-technical hiking) was measured at 100'. Other accounts have listed this as shorter. Perhaps longer webbing was previously used. Beta updated. The Main Fork rappel does have an awkward lip to negotiate.
Nice pretty canyon, but we suspected it would be prettier in the Fall when all the trees are leafed out or turning.

Comment: Ran east fork route including drop into echo canyon starting at the old kiln trailhead. First “rappel” in east fork was 10 feet and had webbing around a tree DCL. Hand line or meat anchor for all but the last person works just as well. After walking down the scenic but shallow canyon the next drop is 70 feet at the confluence between east and main fork. Currently there is green webbing DCR on a juniper, no concerns with the pull but rope groves are developing, we fiddled this drop. Next rappel is almost immediately following and is also roughly 70 feet. Many anchor options here but we used existing blue&purple webbing around a tree to the left of watercourse. Be aware the drop is mostly all free hanging but there is a awkward and uncomfortable overhanging lip near the top. Pothole section was frozen over and easily avoidable. Drop into echo is 70-100 feet roughly depending on where you drop from. Was not able to locate bolts but anchor opportunities are all over. We fiddled a tree DCL of watercourse that made for a more straightforward drop and was about 100 feet give or take.
