Trip report URL:
Comments: Anchors for the 1st and 2nd (webbing w/ quick link on a bush) and the 5th (cairn anchor w/ webbing and quick link) rappels were intact from a previous trip by another group. No anchors were found for rappels #3 and #4.
Rope retrieval for rappel #4 was difficult, where a releasable friction saver rigging was used; the stopper knot got tightly wedged into a rock crack on its way up during retrieval.
The path of descent was often overgrown with thick, dry bushes, or would lead through lots of loose dirt and scree.

Comment: Dropped bike at the exit and drove up Piuma. Great view of the ocean from the drop-in point. Fairly brushy canyon as expected. Rappels were all fun; three had good anchors and I ghosted two. Technical section took 1:20. Crossing the dam on the exit was surreal. A bit slippery but felt safe with such low flow. Bike ride took 0:40.
