Comments: 3 rappels all anchors were good. Drive in was quite slushy. We had AWD but not HCV so had to walk 2 extra miles to and back. Still made it 3.5 hours car to car. Great for half day activity.

Comment: First time through ringpin. Definitely not much going on in this canyon, but nonetheless its pretty with some twisty narrows and makes for a good excuse to packraft down to Willow. All webbing and rapides in good condition for the 3 rappels, no bigger than 30 feet.

Comment: Four hours (taking our time) car to car to complete the route from the end of the gravel road and paddling up river to Cranes Nest Wash to hike out. The paddle up river is easy given the slow pace of the Colorado River in the Black Canyon area and could probably be hiked in case of a nasty headwind, though it might not be very fun. Zero water in the canyon, rebuilt one damaged anchor, longest rappel was around 35 feet, but probably smart to have at least 50 feet of rope. I'm not sure I agree that the road is really passenger car friendly, and there are really no good places to park along the way if you need to stop. I personally don't think ascending back up this canyon is a great option, given how undercut 2 of the drops were and that one of the anchors is a dead man anchor. The up river packraft is easy, short and fun and the day is already plenty short so you won't be saving any time or effort.

Comment: Canyon is completely dry, all pools but one filled with gravel. Last remaining pool is chest deep and bypassable. We packrafted downstream to Willow beach. A Subaru Forester had no problems on the access road but we got a 2WD Tundra stuck in the deep sand and took over an hour of expert fiddling to get it out.
