Comments: Very cold water, but with the rappel only spraying you, short sections of waist deep wading with one mandatory short swim. We approached from root creek trail, and scrambled / bushwhacked on canyon right once the bottom of the falls were visible.

Comment: Trip probably would've gone faster had I not been out of shape, and Kurt Climbed the peak once we got to the end of the trail. Then of course this anchor issue as described below. Had an issue with the pull on r6 as there is a horn undernearth the water dcl that I had to ascend and unstick the rope.

r2 - tree is broken, need wrench to remove chain unless tree has completely split thru. used tree just past the water fall dcl we slung it for a good pull. exposure getting to small tree, suggest using tree further back to get to the smaller tree. That then sort of eliminates r1. Aren't a lot of trees in the canyon dcr, there was a horn that seemed usable but it had issues with all the trees and debris in front for a pull. Suggest putting a bolt somewhere dcl high above the water line.

R1 chain is usable, R3/4/5/6 all in decent conditions bolts and chains good. We added a small sling after r6 for a hand line or a rap because its quite slippery.

Comment: We used the approach all the way from the top described in the beta, since we wanted to get a hike in anyway. The views do not disappoint! The canyon is fun, could be really fun in high flow. We only had a trickle. The drainage is very localized, and only goes up to 6200' or so, so when the snow line is higher than that, expect very low flow.
