Comments: Cool little canyon with easy access, although the approach is pretty exposed as you get closer to the drop-in. There was a Spanish-speaking guide company ahead of us with some questionable safety practices and a group of probably 15 people, which slowed us down a lot. For better or worse, there are anchors all over the place, which allowed us to move along in some spots when needed. Water was low, but still fun. Anchors seemed to be in good shape, getting a lot of usage.

Comment: We started very early on trail at 7:30 and it was quite cold but when the sun peeked out it was fine. We had som confusion on the sneek approach because we dropped down the draw on the sneek approach too early but not a major delay. Spent some time learning with the new people so that added a little bit of time as well.

Comment: Afternoon run for my first time down this lovely little canyon. Had a bit of everything, flowing water but also ample spots to avoid getting wet. Approach is easy and quick.

Comment: 3/16 run involved slushy snow and pretty low flow. Comfortably ran in a 3mm wetsuit, although I avoided the watercourses until the second to last rappel. All anchors in excellent condition, webbing recently replaced.

Comment: Did an afternoon run on San Antonio and still managed to finish before dark. This was my first time leading this canyon and I must’ve turned left up the gully too soon as I ended up doing some bushwhacking/scree shooting as a result which wasn’t so fun. We took a little longer than expected as a result of this mistake. From later discussion with more experienced folks, there is definitely a much easier hike that could’ve been taken. Once we got into the canyon, the journey was much more pleasant and enjoyable. The water temp is perfect for a hot day so no wetsuit needed. A rain jacket may be preferable for members that get cold easily while descending the wet raps. The wet side of rappel 3 was my favorite!

Comment: The flow was "moderate" as most of the water up much higher is frozen (see pic). The water temp was COLD! Don't skip on the neoprene. The approach had some small patches of snow to cross; all easy enough without anything special (crampons, poles, etc.).

Comment: (current photos of anchors provided) Weather conditions were great. High of 71°F, partly cloudy. Water level had good flow but not too turbulent or low. Water temp was not recorded but being in the water for a lot of the trip was "refreshing" but not too cold given the warm weather. All anchors were in great conditions (photos provided). Webbing on rap 1 showed signs of slight sun-bleaching but was otherwise supple and no indications of needing to be changed. Webbing anchors are directly secured to the bolts with no links. Some anchors are chains. The last rap DCR (dry descent) had no webbing so a new one was placed by my party--black webbing with blue threads if you see it). Trip took a total of 4.5 hours with a total of 2.5 miles (car to car), including a 30-minute hike to the first rap from the car and a 15-minute hike out to the car. Route is friendly for first-timers.

Comment: First time in San Antonio with @eshi-1 and it was a lot of fun! The water is flowing pretty nicely for some excellent and not too scary rappels. Anchors are looking good and you often have a plethora of options on the rappel (dry, semi wet, really wet). We took the wettest route possible! The temperature up in the mountain was ~80F and some canyoneers felt cold if they were stationary as we had a large group. Loved the short approach.

Comment: Great for a HOT afternoon before we hit the road. Half of us had no wetsuit, the others thin, and all were happy. Water felt great, and the hike was super short. Overall wonderful canyon to hike ratio, and we had a great time!

Comment: Water flow is still quite respectable (see pics). Water temp was 60F, so neoprene is useful if you get into the direct flow. I pruned the tree that fell into the bottom of R2, clogging up the hallway (special challenges). Now it's not a hazard getting ropes stuck or having issues climbing through all the branches.

Comment: Perfect canyon for a heat wave, temp was 96 on Baldy. One group member wore 3mm and only put sleeves on in water, 2 people had a rain jacket. Flow is still good. Avoided the downed tree on R2 and water hammer on R3, was plenty of fun. Moved slow for rigging practice for the whole group.
