Comment: Followed the wiki KML exit route by paddling a short distance from the mouth of Secret to Palm Tree Springs and then hiking back over into the canyon via a well traveled and well marked path. Secret itself had some interesting geology and a trickling warm spring after the last rappel.

Comment: great half day trip from the Kingman area. we did the alternate R1 literally 2 minutes north from the parking area, pulled the rope, fixed the other 2 raps for ascent and exited up the old dirt road back to the car. side note on alternate R1...a competent climber can downclimb the first section to another set of bolts DCL. From the second set of bolts to the ground is ~60'. All anchors are bolted and in good condition. I would highly recommend fixing ropes and ascending back out. The exit from further down the river seems like a lot of work and will add a good bit of time to your trip. Our time was at a very casual pace, observing wildlife and hanging out at the river for a while. this canyon can be done car 2 car in 2-3 hours via ascending the ropes.
There wasnt any water in the hot springs but a dip in the river was perfect on a 97 degree day. The canyon was full of life..many lizards, bighorns and chuckwallas. Overall a fun day in the desert.

Comment: nice warm 75F day, took a variation that started with R1 about 2 minutes from the parking spot, took a long sit down at the river

Comment: Did Secret + Packraft 3m + Arizona Hot Spring. Cloudy and a bit cold on the river, was good to soak in the hot springs afterwords.
