Comments: This canyon has two main parts, the canyon proper (or ditch) and then the exit. The canyon is brutally overgrown with snakeroot, and travel is very slow and tedious. Not much flow but plenty of damp puddles. The exit down big sur river is sublime, lazy flow with adequate water for happy floating. One big log jam could be hazardous but is obvious from afar and easily avoided on the right by climbing over it. This is a 1 (or less) star canyon with a 5 star exit.
