Comments: Warm air temperatures and cool water, so thin, but full wetsuit was perfect.
Canyon was nice, but not great. After doing Silver Grotto the day before, this felt like a let-down.

Comment: Shallow pools near the start of the narrows were frozen over. Other pools were under waist depth, not frozen, and full of slime. The first and last chockstone climbs were the most challenging and I would not have wanted to attempt either without a partner to assist. I suspect some sand has shifted around in recent years. Vaseys was frozen over. We combined Bedrock and South over the course of two days and exited via the UPS route.

Comment: UPS route both directions. Only two of the pools had appreciable (freezing!) water. The last downclimb is annoying without a partner assist.
I'd call this canyon mediocre, but it's straightforward access to an amazing section of the river. Car to car time includes a side trip to Stanton's Cave/Vasey's Paradise and washing mud out of many articles of clothing on the beach.
