Comments: While we both had lots of type 2 fun bushwhacking our way down from the rim, id only go down there again if it's hot and we're going to chill at the pools all day or look at some FA's on the many spires and walls down there. Aside from that it would be difficult to convince me to go down there again.
That said, the last rappel lands you right in one of the coolest areas ive seen Sedona. This route should be looked at as a shortcut to get to the goods at the bottom rather than an actual canyoneering route.
the approach is mellow and took around 15 minutes. the exit hike kinda sucked in the moment due to all the bushwhacking (and me flying and driving the whole day prior) but it doesnt last too long before your on a pretty good trail to the rim. it looks much worse than it is and doesnt take as long as youd think.
overall, go give it a whirl in the summer and spend some time in the pools.

Comment: very brushy up top. army crawled through locusts bush to r1 . after r1 it cleans up quite a but. lands you in the supai pools sections. Exit was a bit bushy but once on rock the trail comes up faster than u think. Utilized the lobo sneak exit.
rugged with no amazing rappels, but gets you straight to the good stuff.
