Comments: One of the rebar rungs has considerable play a out halfway through the route. There is a section where you traverse on the rungs that is exposed just before the section where you duck under and overhang to go around a corner. The rebar is still in place but the movement in the rebar is quite worrisome. Picture attached of section with the wobbly rebar.

Comment: I have a background in canyoneering and this is my first Via Ferrata. I did not have a shuttle so I hiked the road. Hung out at the falls for a bit, also got off track a bit and explored the trail down past the mine (wrong way lol)

The Ferrata had a few areas of big exposure which was neat. The “big event” definitely gets your blood pumping and is really the best part. The rest of the route was fairly tame and I eventually started to find myself wondering when it would end.

Gorgeous scenery thoughout, of course. Beautiful narrow hiking trail between Ferrata sections.

Was worthwhile for the experience once, I wasn't overly floored though.

Comment: Third technical activity of the day, after Mystic/Lake Fork and Lower Bridal Veil. Ran this the “usual” direction only. (Literally ran the exit, to make it to Jagged Edge in Telluride before closing time.)

It is absolutely gorgeous this time of year. Gold aspens everywhere.

If I were to do this again I’d cut an extra long set of cowtails specifically for this route. Was able to make my usual ones work, but they were annoyingly short in places.

Surprisingly bouldery moves for about four rungs near the exit.

Comment: So good! This is a mostly horizontal ferrata, so you can get away without a true via ferrata lanyard (but you should have 2 dynamic-ish slings to use as tethers). There are areas that are very height exposed and may be hard for people with a fear of heights.

We did the ferrata on a nice Sunday, and the area was quite busy. The parking in bridal veil's parking lot was full, but there were plenty of areas you could park with a bit of extra walking. We did not set up the car shuttle and took the bridal vail's fall trail up to the base of the upper falls and then walked one switch back on the road. We passed 3 groups while doing the ferrata, and saw multiple other groups working their way across. In total, it took us ~5 hours at a moderate/slow pace with one beginner.

Comment: Road up to the approach has one large hole in it and may not be appropriate for passenger vehicles. Save your arm strength for a bouldering move towards the end of the via ferrata if completing east to west. You can make a round trip if you communicate with groups ahead of you to coordinate passing on narrow ledges or the "main event", the section where you are standing on metal rungs.
