Comments: Most of descent was just Rick and John, with Alwin joining us at the end of the canyon. We only found 3 useful anchors in the canyon, including a handline down to a jump. We also found a single bolt with two rusted rapides and a two-bolt anchor below the final slot, neither of which we used. We did find one melted piece of rope, suggesting that the Rough Fire may have burned some soft anchors. We bypassed many of the drops by walking/downclimbing around. A return trip with a bolt kit would make this much a more worthwhile trip, as currently much of the watercourse is bypassed.
