Comments: Flow was perfect for not being too challenging. Toboggan goes! (but always check depth first in case of any new debris) Canyon is gorgeous with beautiful rappels. I would rate it higher than the star rating here. Stuck the rope on the last rappel, tried pulling from the ledge DCR of the waterfall about 15 ft above the ground, as well as both sides of the far shore but no luck. Had to cut it unfortunately after trying to ascend and being unsuccessful. I’m not sure why it got stuck… could be the orientation of the anchor quick links being horizontal pinching the rappel end when pulling the pull end? Not sure what I could have done differently but potentially placing the contingency figure 8 on the upslope side of the rings instead of the downside, or attaching my 2 quick links to the ones already there so that the orientation of the rings is vertical. Anyway, ironically it did end up pulling from the tiny pothole DCR of the waterfall about 35 ft above the ground. Overall a great day out!

Comment: Considering the ease of approach and exit, this canyon is quite fun. IMO flow was between Low and Moderate Low. Nothing crazy, but you could be pushed around a bit if you intentionally played in the current (slippery rocks etc.). It was a cool fall day so we were happy to have 4/3 wetsuits and would have been even more comfy with more. Slides, jumps, pools, free-hanging rappels, beautiful views, and all with 20 min approach and exit. Short and sweet. Great place to spent time practicing or just playing on the features. Water temp was 53 F measured in the shallow stream.
