Comments: Approach trail fortunately showed up on my topo app and was fairly easy to follow, similar conditions to the Pasadena Glen approach. The descent was largely brush-free and had numerous interesting downclimbs on solid rock. I did 5 rappels. There was flowing water throughout. The money rappel down into Big Tujunga was a treat, then it was a beautiful creek walk back to the fire road.

Comment: The approach was fine. It's a very long approach but the trail is good for the most part. You descend all the way down into the valley and hike basically the same amount up the other side, so be aware that there's about 3x the amount of hiking compared to a standard canyon that you hike up once and rappel once.

When the approach transitions into the "old fire road" the quality of the trail deteriorates, and there are some portions where it disappears completely so having the kml on your phone to follow is very important.

There is no clear drop-in point to the canyon from the trail, we picked whichever point seemed easiest to get down from (I have marked it). Once in the canyon we found it extremely overgrown and found none of the anchors despite much searching. There was a lot of bushwacking to even get to the edge that needed to be rappelled.

I downclimbed R1 and R2, marking where they should be on the KML. After discovering the second anchor was gone as well, my group did not want to re-create every single anchor and the hike took us longer than expected so we called it off.

The next group that attempts this canyon should be prepared to expend a lot of effort+time getting there, clearing vegetation, and rigging anchors.
