Comments: This was Scott's documentation run of this Typhon fork, since the FD party in 2008 did not publish the data to Scott's liking. All the webbing found in this fork was totally toast; Scott broke the first piece we found with bare hands! We also had another challenge, which was to do the entire canyon with all retrievable anchors (ghosting everyone of them; nothing man made left behind), which certainly took quite a bit of extra time. Once we got to the South Fork, there was newer webbing which we left in place, even thought we ghosted all the rest of the way down. I did replace one highly Sun bleached piece in the South fork even though we did not use it for rappel. That was the only piece in the South fork that was dangerous; the rest seemed safe enough.
