Comments: There were flash floods in the area week ago, and there was rain the day prior. The canyon had filled up pretty substantially. All the pools seemed about as full as they'd get. First rappel used a cairn anchor. We had intended to use a sand trap for R2, however the pools were filled with cold water. A horn further after the 2nd pool was used. this would need to be rigged before dropping into the 3rd pool, as there was no other anchors beyond that. A water anchor would be needed. The next few rappels landed in dry spots, and the pools were bypassable. R4 is a multistage rappel that dropped us into several narrow pools that were knee, thigh, and waist deep respectively. One final downclimb led us to a deep swimmer. Those who brought wetsuits brought 4/3's. Those who didn't were a bit cold, did their best to avoid pools.
Canyon was quite scenic. Several scenic pools, hanging gardens in cave like features, and a deep sense of commitment. There is no chance for exit after you've pulled the rope on R1. the approach had some fun up climbs. approach is short but steep. exit is fairly direct, with a few up and downs to get back to your car.
