Introduction[edit]
A great addition to Loy Canyon in West Sedona! This route follows the same approach as "Hang Em High" but drops into watercourse at the head of the approach drainage. All of the rappels, except for one, have awesome over hung roofs.
Approach[edit]
Park at the Loy Canyon T/H. Follow the same approach as "Hang Em High" but drop into the first watercourse that you come across.
Descent[edit]
R1: 60' from a pine on ledge in center of water course
Continue on left SD.
R2: 35' off tree LDC.
- Downclimb RDC next to small pine
R3: 20' pine on ledge LDC.
R4: 120' large juniper RDC.
R5: 75' off tree in watercourse .
Exit[edit]
Hike out of the bushy drainage until you link back up to the approach trail. The exit will need to be cleaned up some.
You may want to bring a trimming tool for the first 150'+ until exit gets more traffic. Please be mindful of others and dispose of debris outside of the drainage.
