Introduction[edit]
Approach[edit]
Park at the gravel carpark on Robinson's Knob Trail in Comara (-30.503007,152.389652), also marked as the 'New England Wilderness Walk' on some maps. Passing through the gate, walk downhill along Robinson's Knob Trail, taking the signed turn right onto the Cascades Walk. The track is a circuit - the left (upper/Eastern) fork provides a more direct route to the first abseil. As the track steepens and joins the creek, walk downstream to find the R1 anchors.

Exit[edit]
After last abseil, walk around 500m downstream through an increasingly dangerous maze of Giant stinging trees, to roughly 500m elevation where the CL/eastern creek bank eases slightly. Climb steeply through the rainforest to gain the distinct spur, negotiating several 5-10m tall cliff bands which may require packhauling for some parties. Once atop the spur, follow it upwards, re-joining Robinson's Knob Trail and following it back to the parked car.
