Introduction[edit]

A short canyon, 2-3 hours, with a couple weird chossy rappels, a little tunnel, and a final, nice, 170ft freehanging rappel.

Approach[edit]

Head up the gully, turns into a shallow conglomerate canyon. Go left, then right, then gradually work your way up to the ridge on the right, to maintain the main ridge ahead of you. This part gets steep with hard pack and loose gravel. Mildly tedious. At the ridge top, cross over and down into the left side gully.

Descent[edit]

Shortly you'll get to the first rappel, ~15 feet into a conglomerate slot. This opens up and twists around as you hike out.

A while later there's a ~30ft drop, off a big overhanging shelf of fragile sandstone. Careful here. Rappel from Down-Canyon-Left to avoid the fragile shelf.

Below here is a cool tunnel.

Soon after, you'll step down into a little slot, and arrive at the big drop. The rock here is relatively solid, but there's loose stuff, especially at the start of the overhang, so it's not a good idea to hang out underneath, and providing fireman belays could prove challenging.

Exit[edit]

Ends a short distance from your car.
