Introduction[edit]

This canyon is described in limited detail in Canyons Near Sydney by Rick Jamieson. Help the Australian canyoning community by contributing track notes to ropewiki.com

This easy, non-abseil and accessible canyon features three short but pretty sections of constrictions. The last constriction is past the exit point. The canyon terminates at Hat Hill Falls overlooking the spectacular Grose Valley. Backtrack the last constriction and exit the canyon.

According to some trip reports, you can do a side trip up to a waterfall with a double arch between the second and third constriction, just shortly after the exit point.

Car to car around 5-7 hours depending on party size and speed.

Approach[edit]

Park at Godson Avenue at Blackheath -33.613737, 150.315747. Enter via Robb Avenue as the section of Godson Avenue from Hat Hill Road has been badly damaged by recent rain (14/4/2024)
