Introduction

A rugged and remote canyon in the Sycamore Canyon Wilderness.

Approach

Follow the kml from the trailhead to the confluence with Little LO.

Descent

R1: 45' into possible keeper pothole (or a steep, spicy downclimb at full water levels). During high water level, swim across and easy climb out. The pothole is deep, so lower levels will require pothole escape techniques. Possible to bypass rappelling in DCR instead about 70'.

Immediately after is another possible swimmer keeper pothole. Easier to escape as boulders at exit help to climb out on.

R2: 40' into possible pool. Possible to handline partners down and do partner capture for last person.

R3: 15' into possible pool, or a very challenging chockstone downclimb.

Exit

Look for cairns DCL. Follow well used Kelsey Springs Trail up to vehicle. Will pass Babes Hole Springs and Kelsey Springs for possible water.
