Comments: Great canyon! Not the most technical but beautiful narrows, a few potholes, and some fun downclimbs! The red mud from the moenkopi layer above give a desert feel. The pothole was escaped with a shoulder boost and handline back down.

Comment: The canyon had flashed several days prior so all pools were full of brown, lightly flowing water. Many swims. Neither of us wore wetsuits and we were both comfortable. Lots of mud. We used about 40' of rope in one place to meat anchor and check water depth, but otherwise downclimbed / partner assisted all the other obstacles. The exit trail is severely fire damaged and hard to follow in places.

Comment: From the drop in into the ravine until exit this canyon is constant boulder fest. We were able to avoid water until after the second pothole and then had 4 or 5 chest deep waders. We escaped the big keeper by standing on shoulders of the biggest guy and then lifting him up with 2 to 1. Better have some genius plan if that keeper is half full. Hike out is on very well established trail but is pretty strenuous ( similar to WCC )

Comment: Time is doing Little LO and Babes Hole car to car. Pothole not in keeper mode, easy swim and climb out. Downclimbed everything, no raps. Handlined and partner assisted one with deep pool to fall into. Couple cold swimmers, could probably be done without wetsuit if good tolerance to cold water, otherwise a thin wetsuit was nice to have. Lots of poison ivy in approach canyon, but can be avoided.

Comment: Keeper pothole in this canyon is serious business. Water level was very low and the pool was quite deep, at least 10'. Potshot toss didn't work, had to ascend a rope and climb up to a ledge before dropping back down on the other side. Took quite some time, the canyon should only take about 6-7 hours, not 10. We could have bypassed the pothole, it we were determined to figure a way out. 2nd pothole had low water, but our best climber was able to get out on his own and assist the rest of us. Rest of the canyon was as easy as they get. Thin wetsuit would have been helpful for those in the pothole, but not necessary for the rest of the canyon.
