Introduction[edit]
Originally named Little Canyon in the Kelsey canyoneering book... "The name was so mundane we felt a better name was in order. Mike Schasch named the canyon ROC (short for Rabbit of Caerbannog) after the guardian of a cave in a Monty Python movie. The Rabbit of Caerbannog appears to be a small, cute little thing that could do no harm. After a short engagement with the ROC the soldiers find the rabbit to unimaginably fierce, swift and deadly. ROC canyon is small and goes almost un-noticed but it is quite the deep skinny crack that has a serious bite."
