Introduction[edit]

Slaters Slot is an amazing granite slot canyon with some fun rappel challenges & amazing swimming/play ground swimming area's on Kings Folly creek after you exit the canyon. Opening party completed the canyon in low water conditions, but it had previusly been seen in high flow following heavy rain where it could be a quite challenging or dangerous slot canyon (a5).

Approach[edit]

Follow the Hasting Forest Way from Beechwood, then right at Five Ways Hill down Cobrabald Rd. Continue toward Wild Bull Camp to side road parking on west side of road 1km before the camp ground. After leaving the car by the road walk down the short 4wd track & cross Kings Folly Creek. Bush bash up hill for 300m & then down to a small gully coming in on the left. Walk down gully to meet Slaters Slot Canyon. Harness up here.

Water level[edit]

Slaters creek is the tributary of Kings Folly which runs into the Wilson River where the river guage is situated way further down stream as a guide on water flow.
