Introduction[edit]
A fun semi-dirty slot found on the east side of Zion
Approach[edit]
Climb up from the Many Pools TH and follow the steep route up to the base of the canyon along the right side of the crack. There is brush at the canyon head, so a better drop-in can be found nead the head off a tree LDC.
Descent[edit]
Rap 1: 60ft from a large tree LDC onto a sandy chute with some limited stable ground over some spooky exposure. Slightly overhung in places with some possible sharp rope edges.
Rap 2: 25ft from a small tree LDC that takes some maneuvering to reach safely and rig. Get on rappel RDC and downclimb a little to get on rope. The drop is extremely sandy, so expect sandfall and maybe other loose rock when getting on rappel.
Rap 3: 50ft from a rock pinch RDC
Rap 4: 45ft from a couple of boulders in the watercourse
Rap 5: 60ft from a cairn anchor into a deep scary crack
Exit[edit]
Walk the wash back to your car.
Red tape[edit]
A Zion canyoneering permit is required for this canyon.
