Introduction[edit]

Named after the two different colors of sandstone, White/blonde on the east wall and gray on the west wall.

Approach[edit]

A rather steep brushy start right off the bat down a deep fault line then gradually eases up for better travel. Travel along the West side of the drainage downclimbing a few ledges to locate the first drop.

Descent[edit]

R1: 120' Tree, two stage, bushwhack rappel, Right side of canyon, down cliffs.

Gradually head left back towards the canyon drainage, downclimbing a few spots

R2: 45' Rock pinch RDC

R3: 140' Tree, set high RDC

R4: 30' Rock pinch

R5: 40' Tree RDC

R6: 30' Tree RDC

Exit[edit]

Walk a brief pretty section of West Fork before diving back into the next drainage over.

Steep, slippery, and unpleasant. Mainly loose soil and crumbling rock. Use caution!

Eases up once reaching mesa and heading into forest. Option to bypass the second drainage on map and take the obvious direct route straight up a clean forested hill.
