User talk:Estunum
The "Quality rating" data in the Canyon form/template is now just used as a backup to user-submitted ratings (it's only used if no users have rated the quality of the canyon). It still has values only between 1 and 3 because that's what other, older beta sites (like Brennen) used. A value of 4 gets treated like a value of 3, which is the highest quality possible. The highest quality possible is 5 stars under the user rating system, and that's why Guadalupe Creek is being displayed as 5 stars currently. To rate it 4 stars, just click on the 4th star from the left while you're logged in. Sorry for the complexity -- we'll be phasing out the original 1-3 star quality scale soon. By the way, this is your own personal talk page -- a normal wiki page under your name, except it displays a notification for you when someone changes it. You can sign comments by adding four tildes (~) at the end of a note and it will look like the end of this message: Bjp (talk) 17:39, 11 June 2014 (PDT)
Thanks! Still figuring out, I want to complete Guadalupe Creek along with a couple other first descents in the area. Estunum (talk) 20:59, 12 June 2014 (PDT)
Added a response to your Bear Creek issue on my talk page -- thanks for the contributions! --Bjp (talk) 18:34, 4 November 2014 (PST)
Thanks again for adding the new canyons! Just a note: if you want to link to something within RopeWiki, you can use double brackets and just the page name. So, [[Bear Creek]] will be Bear Creek. That saves writing out the long links like [http://ropewiki.com/index.php/Bear_Creek Bear Creek] (which looks like Bear Creek) --Bjp (talk) 17:10, 11 November 2014 (PST)
Added a response to the canyon naming question on my talk page -- thanks :) --Bjp (talk) 11:04, 13 November 2014 (PST)
