Introduction[edit]

A long trek out to a remote part of the Secret Mountain Wilderness. Multiple slots spaced between lush, old world forest with an Aztec jungle feel!

Approach[edit]

Follow the map down and up hills, through the woods, over and along various drainages. Just when you think you may never arrive, suddenly you have!

Descent[edit]

R1: 40' Rock Pinch. 2 stage, pools

R2: 70' Log pile. 2 stage

R3: 50' Rock pinch RDC

Downclimb log

R4: 70' Tree LDC into seasonal pool

Downclimb chute slide

R5: 20’ knot chock, rappel DCL into pool

R6: 20' Rock pinch LDC

R7: 60' Rock pinch set 15' back

R8: 30' Rock pinch LDC. Stop at first stage, pull rope, then downclimb slide

Exit[edit]

Travel the sculpted water way. Keep an eye out for a few turns on the map, mostly direct and obvious. Fairly even grade with a few short obstacle climbs. Eventually becomes bushy and thorny for a short section as you gain the first saddle. Near the end becomes steep but footing is decent as you climb to rejoin the approach trail.
