Introduction
Approach
From the car follow the old trail from the national park sign along the fence for approx 15-20min, once the fence turns left follow it down the hill for approx 200m until you meet the creek and where the first bits of the canyon start.
Descent
There is plaque on the boulder closest to the east Dtharowal Creek Falls – it is a memorial to the NSW SCAT ambulance office Mick Wilson who was killed in a rescue mishap lifting the injured canyoner Matthew Shewchuck who had a 10m fall onto the bottom of Pitch 3 injuring his back (L3 injury), 24 Dec 2011.
Exit
Once on the ground a walk/rock hop of approx 1hr upstream (right) will bring you to a small waterfall on the right. Just after the waterfall a small scramble up will bring you to the top of a small cliffline and short distance from the car. 15min of walking along the creek will bring you to the bridge and car.
