Introduction[edit]
Whirlpool is a longish day where you get rewarded with sweeping ridge views high quality canyon and a beautiful exit in the Wollangambe. !4 km Acent 620
Approach[edit]
Start at Mount Wilson Fire Station and follow the track to the Wollangambe crossing at GR 543 915 Cross the river and walk up the hill following the Geronimo track. Walk to the start of Geronimo at GR 5386 9216 Cross the river where the two creeks join and walk up the hill following the ridge line, aiming to enter a tributary creek at GR 5295 9217. Soon after is a 4m abseil. Keep to the right just before joining the main creek.

Follow the Wollangambe to where you crossed it at the entry. There is a few swims and wet suits is recommended.
