Introduction[edit]
this canyon is described in limited detail in Canyons Near Sydney by Rick Jamieson. Help the Australian canyoning community by contributing track notes to ropewiki.com It is dry canyon and nice winter trip.
Approach[edit]
Drive as far along Culol range road as possible.
Initial track turns off to the right (NW) when road heads SW. Follow this track to towards Crawfords Lookout for about 700m. Shortly after the summit, take a track to the left. Take this south west along the ridge and follow the first or second ramp NW then N into the creek.
Alternatively, stay on the crawfords lookout track longer and drop into the catchment from the north. Some have done an extra 2 abseils trough cliff line up to 20m each in order to walk in almost straight line from track to start of the canyon

Exit[edit]
One exit is to follow Colo and then Wollemi creeks upstream to bend on -33.195°, 150.524° and then climb the spur up to Crawford lookout and then back to car. Another exit is following Colo river downstream for about 1.5km to Pass 6 and using this pass to get back on fire trail.
