Comments: Not sure why Luca and Chris gave this canyon 3 stars, but it's pretty sweet for being nontechnical. The canyon is too short to be a true 5 star route, yet it has some very cool twist and turns. It is very dark. Bring lights.
The hand-lines were old but seemed ok. We probably shouldn't have been so trusting. There was some litter.
The road from the Aften exit off the 15 crosses the Mojave River. We almost drowned our 4runner. Water almost over the hood. The road from the other side, Basin Rd, takes you off road a bit. If you have a passenger vehicle you'll need to wait for the river to dry up (if it ever does).
