Comment: Low flow, shallow pools. A guided group of 12+ showed up as we were rigging R1. R4 can be downclimbed on canyon right. Even shorter than advertised - technical section took less than 30 minutes.

Comment: We used hand line while accessing R1 bolts. All rappels had two bolts in excellent condition. No webbing, and none needed. Added quick link to R4 anchor. Water was cold. We used 3 mm and 5mm wetsuits, all were comfortable. We were told the next day the creek was running above normal, but had nothing to compare it to. Great short canyon for introduction to Ouray.

Comment: Water flow was lower than I was expecting. A short and easy day. There are a few places that can be slid into shallow ( ~ 2 feet) pools, but overall water is very shallow. Water is very cold without neoprene gloves but I was a little too warm in a 5 mm wet suit. The rest of the team had 3 mm suits on and were comfortable. The steep exit DCR is marked with bright pink flagging tape in a tree, and there are ropes set up with alpine butterfly knots on the left of the trail to use as a handline.
