Comments: We didn't want to get went and skipped the rap at the beginning of narrows, there is another anchor further down RDC but there was another deep pool so we continued and CEMed of another tree. Didn't help us much, few minutes later there was a waist deep wader and second rap was straight into very cold swimmer.Once out of the water it was very pleasant. If you are into canyon hiking this one is wonderful, real canyon with high, enclosing walls, fun downclimbes and huge boulders forming corridors and even tunnels.

Comment: Short but fun canyon. Some thigh-deep pools. Some swimmers. The swimmers were pretty cold and we were glad we had the wetsuits. Otherwise, didn't really need them. R3 appears to have been re-routed through rabbit hole DCR in the last couple years. Better anchor but a tighter fit for those less nimble.

Comment: Great pay to play ratio with this canyon. There were three deep pools, one wade and two full swims, and everything else was less than knee deep and easily avoidable. The variety in this canyon is nice, with some narrows up front, easy yet engaging downclimbs throughout, and some cool "caves" to keep it interesting.

Comment: Hidden gem in the desert, we played with different rappel styles and were able to do 6 rappels in total, low flow with clear beautiful water, gorgeous canyon, we missed the exit and took an unexpected detour out

Comment: 10 years ago, in a warmer, drier season, we didn't enjoy this much. This time, after a lot of recent rain, it was completely different. Catch it wet like this, and it's a solid 4-star experience, given the ease of access and beauty down there.

Comment: Caught this one at the wrong time of year. The pools were very cold, stagnant and pretty gross, with rodents floating in them amongst other things. However, the canyon itself is beautiful and lots of fun. It's likely best done in high flow.

Comment: Trickle of flow throughout the canyon. Deep cold pools, short swims, unique features. Low effort for some solitude and a unique little canyon.

We made a day out of it and paddled into another canyon close by afterwards. All anchors looked good.

Comment: Replaced webbing at R1. Multiple swims and several wades. Light flow. 4/3mm wetsuit was comfortable.

Comment: Webbing/anchor at the first rappel was in fine shape. One small deceased mouse in the pool below. Downclimbed R2. A couple refreshing swimmers in not-too-gross water. Spent a lot of time exploring the boulder caves and rescued a garter snake that was trapped in a small but deep pothole. This is certainly one of the more worthwhile and interesting canyons in the area.

Comment: Second anchor was torn out. Downclimb-able but not everyone was comfortable. We replaced it but the rope pull sucks so last person downclimbed anyways. Water was clear and chilly with a layer of algae on top. I wore 3mm wetsuit and was happy, party members did not wear wetsuits and were chilly but fine.

Comment: Nearly a dozen wasps were hovering around the anchor for R1. Set a 40’ rap off a tree a bit farther RDC that dropped me into the narrows just before the second swimmer. Downclimbed the next rap and packed out some old webbing. A couple swimmers, a few deep wades, and some opportunities for fun, moderately challenging downclimbs. Water levels appeared low and lots of algae in some pools.

Comment: Two mandatory swimmer pools. Very low bushwacking, easy approach and exit, and nice narrow areas. Fun problem solving downclimbs in boulder areas.
