Comments: rappel #1 has an exciting start cause the anchor hangs a bit over the lip (makes for a very easy pull). we sent one down through the pool (a swimmer and cold) and then down rappel #3 while on rope. this person then tensioned the rope and provided a guided "rappel" (just went on a carabiner) across the pool. she managed to stay dry! check the webbing on rappel #4. was starting to look a bit crispy.

Comment: One mandatory swimmer. The rock quality is ok and the natural anchors were super good enough. We sent the heaviest person down first with a back up on most rappels. We had to extend a 100 and pass a knot on the ledge for the last rapp, no biggie. Super fun little outing and less commiting than some other options in the area. We found a ram skull, and a dead fox.

Comment: Lots of poor quality rock in the approach gully. Pool at the base of R2 was mostly chest depth but required a short swim in the middle. Moved at a casual pace. Rugged approach and exit. Scenic area.

Comment: It’s a crumbly, thorny thrash up, and a thrash between final rap and decent trail back. Still, some decent raps, and it’s close to town. There are worse ways to spend a winter day! https://youtu.be/g5u-hy4PyIw

Comment: One swimmer pool, clear water. Interesting area and scenic views. Some class 4 hiking on approach. All anchors looked good. No rope issues.
