Comments: Probably a bit late in the year to be running this canyon - at almost 11,200’ elevation, the falls are starting to ice in around the edges, and creek walking between the drops requires special care as most of the rocks immediately adjacent to the watercourse have ice of their own. But it’s an absolutely beautiful time of year to be up there if you can stand the cold!
R1 was both very icy and downclimbable DCR, so I didn’t rig it. Replaced webbing at R3. R4 and R6 both feature loose rock mid-rappel that will likely clean up with traffic but should be approached with care in the meantime, especially in groups.
Fully half my car to car time was probably spent putting a wetsuit on over another wetsuit. (Kidding, but not about the double wetsuits.)
Here’s the breakdown:
Approach ~2h
Descent 2.5h
Exit ~1h (all downhill)
I didn’t see anyone, not even day hikers. Maybe because they have so many things in CO named variations of “Lizard Head” to choose from ;)

Comment: Felt like R2 was closer to 80' and not 65'
Good canyon although most raps were set out of the flow.
